I don't know why I've been prolonging my updating these days...probably because of much ado that has happened to me for the past few weeks, and I'll tell you, in song (cue gradually-building-into-a-crescendo theme music here)...
For the past four months, there has been a girl dating this excellent man who hails from the neighborhood of Warren, MI. Much has developed between the two, as in the blossoming of growing closer together as a couple and under God's amazing guidance.
The excellent man decides to make the trip up to the small speck on the Earth: Perronville, to stay for a whopping 17 days! (Well, 18 if you count the time that weather prevented him from flying home) but the excellent man's baby doll thinks that that's a heck of an idea! She agrees to drive up to K. I. Sawyer to retrieve her love at the airport. Giddy the entire time, she flips out the moment the excellent man walked through the doors. Should she freak out now, her chances of the excellent man thinking she was ballistic were pretty high. Seizing the opportunity, she runs to embrace the man that she was looking forward to seeing after an absense of six weeks apart.
As she takes to her home, the baby doll cannot wait to be able to spend the holidays for the first time with a boyfriend. She also delights in the fact that this is the longest time she was allowed to have the sexy beast in the house :D
As the days progressed, the beast avoided a certain conversation when inquired about by the baby doll. Even though she heard her father remark, "Welcome to the family!" she either seemed to be over her head about a proposal, or this was the real thing and didn't even realize it...
Christmas morning...finally the time for the beast to open up Baby Doll's present to him...the purity/promise rings that indicate the Beast is the only man in Baby Doll's life to love always, until their time is complete. Also informs that even though she would be saving herself for her future husband (whether it be him or someone else that God had in store), and not condone to performing affection with anyone else but her Beast. Baby Doll eagerly awaits what her astounding man had in store for her...he gives her a letter...a fully typed page of their history together. From the friendship that happened 10 years ago to the couple-in-love now, much of what made Baby Doll tear up with the truthfulness behind their "Christmas Story." But the last paragraph was the one that she had been dying to read...
"When it came to the holidays arrangements were made to ensures that the boy and the beautiful woman were able to spend the most amount of time possible together. (The beautiful girl actully met the boys grandmother and incurred no negative remarks!) And the boy got on a plane for the first time to go see the beautiful woman. As soon as the boy arrived at the beautiful womans house he immediately wanted to give away what his Christmas Present was for her. However wanted to keep her in anticipation as at this moment she thought that her gift was a rambling story. So when the beautiful girl was distracted, the boy knelt down, and pulled out her Christmas gift, decided to open it for her and asked, "Will you marry me?" And the beautiful girl replied..."
Baby Doll was completely taken aback that he wrote this in, that the excellent man wanted so much for her to be his forever...She was flabbergasted, crying because she could not believe anything like that could happen to her...at least not for a long while from now, like four more years maybe...never seeing that it was he who would be hers forever and always. So before she accepted, she requested something from the man. "If I say 'Yes,' would you please learn to control your jealousy?" The boy replied that he would; she agreed to marry him with a full-hearted sigh, "Yeah..." and a beaming smile upon her face. She could not stop repeating that she loved him, over and over and over...even when Sweetheart's mum had the entire thing recorded on tape, even when the beautiful woman's sister Boo exclaimed, "What's going on?"
I cannot emphasize how much I can still remember that day oh so well...the most amazing day of my life: realizing where God had put me on this Earth, who He wanted me to be with, who my husband will be after all this time of searching for my God-send...he was in my life all along...with every person that we reveal the news to has been greeted with open arms and uprising hands of joy...
We've been engaged for a month now, and we've still got much planning to attend to: a guest list, the photographer, dress searching, what to eat, finalizing on a color (like a nice red wine color, lighter than burgundy), and so on...the hall's booked, the officiant honored to do the ceremony, the bridesmaids delighted to be part of the brigade as are the groomsmen, and the date: May 16, 2009. It has been a wonderful time trying to make sure that our wedding is going to be amazing, how we would like it to be, within a budget of course :D
To the love of my life: I cannot wait to begin this journey with you. To be able to be at your side forever, or as the men say, "With every good man, there's always the nagging wife." But as my Mum would say, "The man may be the head of the house, but the woman is the neck; she can turn the head whereever she wants to." I want to make the most happiest man in the world, to be everything for you, to be all that I am for you, to be with you always and forever. I love you with every molecule in me :D I love you unconditionally, and everything about you. I've never been more blessed, more loved, more happy in anything until the day that you asked me to be yours. I can still remember that morning oh so well, which was the day after we first kissed...gosh that still makes my heart skip :D *sigh...I love you my darling.
